NABIL HAMDAOUI
NABIL HAMDAOUI was born of Moroccan parents December 19th 1984 in Strasbourg France. Growing up studying in a private French school in Marrakesh, he moved to the USA in September 2001. He got his high school diploma in 2003 and started studying Industrial Design at Purdue University in Indiana. After going to Florida for spring break in 2004, Nabil ended up extending his stay there to 3 years. Besides the great waves and surf, the hurricane season also brought work in demolition-construction, keeping Nabil busy in between jobs pumping concrete, enjoying the many beaches of the sunshine state and being part of the underground hip-hop scene. Back in Morocco on October 2001, Nabil has since earned a Bachelor’s in Web Development while freelancing as an interpret and PR agent in events ranging from the nightlife Marrakesh party scene to more corporate events and official happenings, conventions and seminars. Today, and thru his multifaceted experience, Nabil is striving at giving a fresh and different impulse to the Moroccan cultural landscape, mainly by being an active member of the collective DC7 ‘The Urban Lab’ (DC7 meaning Dir Chi 7aja or Do Something). He also works with the Foundation for the Marrakesh Festivals as a communication manager.
